11months old!!

My baby was 11 months old. I was able to take this picture while she was sleeping. Where has the past year gone?I don't want her to grow up but iwould like her to sleep in her own bed.

We went to see John's mom and dad and all the other aunt and uncles. We had a great time. They enjoyed all the babies. This picture chase was playing with Sophia and Karson. Chase is a second cousin.

Sophia's six month check up( she is almost eight months). They said her weight us low but ok... Guess we need to start feeding this girl some table food. ( my worst nightmare.. Then everyone will want to feed her. Her papa was able to meet us.

Sophia's first experience with a kitten. As you can see she is not happy. Good news for me we won't be getting a cat anytime soon.

Mother's day

This was my first mothers day. Sophia and John were so good to me. We all went to church together then John brought Sophia home for a nap. We ate at a new steak place (not sure the name). John also got me hot pick roses and a cross charm for my bracelette. This was the best first mothers day ever. I don't know how I will top this for fathers day!!

7 months old!

Sophia turned seven months old on April 29. We did not do anything special today. Sophia is sitting, craweling, and pulling up on anything she can find.

Easter cookies!

I should have posted these a long time ago but better late than never. First time for me to make my own sugar cookies and iceing!!! They were so yummy!! I ate almost all of them!!!

A working mom

I am going back to work today... not sure how I feel about leaving my baby but I guess I must leave her for at least a few hours a day or she will not be normal. What four month old can already say momma??? Well now at the ripe old age of seven months I am going to be leaving her once a week or so to work. I have to work to keep my job as PRN. Sooo, who ever reads this please pray for Sophia and her Papa... I hope its not a long night for them!!! I will update after work... not sure if I even know how to scrub anymore!!

Earth Day

Earth day has become one of my favorite "holidays". Today Sophia and I spent the day cleaning house and cooking a fabulous crock pot lasagna. I wanted to plant something but it rained today. Today I noticed Sophia has her first tooth coming in. She have been playing with it with her tongue and John stuck his finger in her mouth to check it out. My baby is growing up so fast!!!

Today many years ago my family was sealed together in St. George temple in Utah. Happy anniversary to my family!!! Also, my dad meet my wonderful step mom on this day... a few years ago too...

To top it off my Great Grandmother, Anna Colvin was reunited with her family on the other side of the veil today.

So it is offical today is on of my favorite days!!! Today repreasents, for me, the true meaning of life!

Later this week Sophia and I will be planting and composting!!!

florida 4/2010

Sarrah and I drove from New Orleans to Destin to spend the weekend with Jayson and Cassie. We had a really nice time relaxing by the pool, taking pictures on the beach and spending time relaxing, watching tv!! Here Sophia and I are enjoying the beach although it is a little breezy on the beach.few pictures. Now we will drive back to Hattiesburg tonight to see everyone there. I'm sure mom wants to see baby Sophia!!

Sophia and I are at home this week while Papa is living it up in Vegas. We were going to go but I thought going would not be the best thing for Sophia. We are really trying hard to work on naps. (Me laying her down... ) and her sleeping through the night.
Today the weather is rainy and in the 60s. I want to get out so I think we will get dressed and ride around.
I asked her if she wanted to go shopping and she said... yes mommy... so I have to take her!!

First veggie!!

Sophie had green peas for the first time. She loved them and would have eaten the whole jar if I would have let her. Also, she is sleeping much better after three day of naptime boot camp.

Sophia and I spent a day shopping and running errands. In the picture we are sitting in the suv waiting on a girlfriend!! We got alot accomplished. She was so good.

the dreaded nap...

Today is the first day of laying Sophia down for naps. I can't report much progress but she did lay down for about a hour and fifteen minutes only crying for about thirty. She was then back up only for forty-five minutes and then back down because it was obvious to me she did not finish her nap. The crying is killing me but I know it is for the best!

Four month check-up

Sophia had her four month check-up a month late. Everything went well. She weighs 14.8lbs and she is 25.25in long. We got the go ahead to give some baby food. She has been getting rice cereal for a few weeks.
We also got shots. I don't know who was more upset me or her?

I can't believe it's been five months...

Going for a walk!

Sophia and I are walking up and down the road. We have been inside all day and I needed to get out. I am blogging while walk... Got to love technology!! Sophia is offically a sitter now. She still falls back sometimes. We are ready for warm weather!!

She found the pap pap!!

Sophia is sitting up by herself now!!! She is still a little unsure of herself but she will sit with a pillow behind her and play in her room. Last night we went to dinner at our favorite Thia restaurant and she found her pacifier on the table and pick it up and made it in her mouth. I could not be more proud!!!
Sophia has also discovered toys and colors. She loves books especially if you read to her and let her play with the book. She is getting such a personality and seeing her show it is fun to watch.

We are still struggling with night time. She does not want to sleep and can not figure out how to put herself back to sleep. I'm not sure the answer but we are trying everything. Last night she was so hard to get to bed that I finally sat in the bathroom while the water ran. She LOVES the water. I must find a CD with water music!!! She doesn't seem to like the primary music:(

Reading with mommy

Sophia and I were watching papa cook in the kitchen. She thought she needed to help me read so we got her book. She played with that book for a while. More fun to come!!!

Sleepy baby

Sophia(my four month old) is fighting sleep. She only sleeps for a few minutes. Any suggestions??
I'm going to try cereal tonight. Hope that helps...

Today is the first day of the rest of our life.... right? Well for me it is... Sophia and I were up all night again. She is not sleeping well. I feel like I have a new born again. I have put her down for a nap and I am hoping she will sleep for a hour or two... (Please)!

This morning it snowed again (3rd time this season), which is not normal for Virgina.

I am excited to start blogging. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Also I will be starting another blog... this will be my new project for the year. I am trying to help the special ladies in my life get healthy!!! I will post the new blog when I get it set up.
